Editorial Policy
Corrections, Retractions & Accuracy Procedure
Palafilm is committed to accuracy, transparency and editorial responsibility. This page outlines how we identify, review and correct errors in all published content.
1. Our Commitment to Accuracy
At Palafilm, we strive to ensure that all published material—including articles, project descriptions, production notes, educational resources and social content—is accurate, complete and supported by verified information.
When errors occur, we correct them quickly, clearly and transparently.
2. How We Identify Errors
Potential errors may be identified through:
- internal editorial review,
- fact-checking during updates,
- feedback from collaborators or partners,
- messages from the public or stakeholders,
- technical or production inconsistencies.
All reported errors are logged and reviewed by the editorial or production lead responsible for the original material.
3. Levels of Corrections
A. Minor Corrections
These include grammar, spelling, broken links or formatting issues. They are fixed immediately and quietly, without a public note, unless they alter meaning.
B. Factual Corrections
These apply when a published statement is inaccurate or misleading. The correction is:
- updated in the article,
- marked with a “Correction Note” at the bottom,
- dated and clarified for transparency.
C. Major Corrections or Updates
When substantial sections of a page require revision due to new information or significant inaccuracies, we add a:
- “Updated on [Date]” notice at the top,
- summary of what changed and why.
D. Retractions
In rare cases where content is fundamentally flawed, unverifiable or ethically problematic, Palafilm may:
- remove the material,
- publish a retraction explaining the reason,
- maintain transparency about the archived version when appropriate.
4. The Correction Procedure
- Step 1 – Identification: An error is reported or detected.
- Step 2 – Review: An editor, producer or designated reviewer verifies the issue.
- Step 3 – Decision: The reviewer determines whether it is minor, factual, major or requires retraction.
- Step 4 – Correction: The content is updated following the appropriate correction level.
- Step 5 – Documentation: All corrections are logged internally for accountability.
5. Transparency With Our Audience
We believe that acknowledging and correcting errors strengthens trust with our readers, partners and collaborators. Whenever a correction impacts understanding or accuracy, we highlight it openly.
We welcome feedback regarding possible errors or clarifications at: [email protected]
6. Updates to This Policy
This procedure is reviewed periodically to ensure it meets international editorial and ethical standards. Any changes will be reflected on this page.
